Wavefront Modulation and Beam Shaping into Arbitrary Three-Dimensional Intensity Distributions

In this study the methods of three-dimensional (3D) wavefront intensity modulation by employing contrast-inverted holography, previously introduced as Gabor inverted are further investigated. The present provides recipes for creating 3D modulations using phase-only and amplitude-only modulators compares results. spherical waves is also demonstrated, miniaturization beams discussed; it shown that both resolution size created structures ultimately given wavelength employed radiation. manuscript addresses quality formed curves determines parameters provide best smooth appearance curves. presented can be realized all kinds waves: light, X-ray, electron, etc, provided modulator manufactured corresponding wavelength. applied in various techniques: lithography, micro-robotics, particle trapping, etc.
